Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Pete, a great many thanks - that is incredibly generous. I did not get that far west. However, I will be coming back next week and if I am headed that way I will PM you.
So I got here last night. 1750 miles in 2 days - solo. Day 1 - Conditions were tough. Coming down I-81 in Pennsylvania I literally was in the clouds from Scranton to Harrisburg. Visibility was 100 yards max. It rained all the way from Binghampton, N.Y. to Richmond Va. Fortunately there was no snow so I did not get to test the new tires - they were a bit squirelly initially in the wet, but got better as the day progressed. Average speed was only around 65 mph. Day 2 - Beautiful day. Sunny and cool. Was able to average over 75 mph and had to go that fast - people in the south drive fast (and go faster the further south that you go). Finished the balance of the trip and arrived around 9:30 PM. Overall, averaged 26.7 mpg and around 70 mph. Here is a happy car somewhere in South Carolina.
Hey Fergus, good to hear you have made the trip. How are the headlights working for ya? That gas stop looks very familiar... I think it's the same one I stopped at driving from Cary to Miami
Fergus I am familiar with that stretch of I-81 in PA. I used to drive that going to college. Glad you made it to sunny Ft Myers. Looks like you got pretty good gas mileage to. Your right about people driving fast in the south. The speed limits are usually higher down here also than in the northeast around the big cities.
