Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

9 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

can anybody help iv got a 2001 996 carrera 4 cab and my front pasenger side shock is knacked i need the car in 2 days time and cant get a shock for 3 days and its 320 but there is a guy selling turbo suspension on ebay only 30 miles from me will the front shocks fit and even beter if the rear fited as well

POST 4Original post

It will fit like a square peg in a round hole.

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

what part wont fit cos thay look identical i know the turbo will be stiffer but it realy looks like it would fit the car

POST 8Original post

In addition to the swaybar mount being in a different place, the Turbo and C4S struts are thicker. They won't fit. Similarly, putting a strut made for the others models (e.g. Koni Sport 8741-1543) will require a sleeve as well as new end links. I haven't personally tried it, but after finding out about the swaybar issue I called someone who has done it and he indicated having to make sleeves.
