Would like to hear what others have upgraded to. I don�t want to spend more than $100 a pair for the dash, and I�m thinking close to the same for a decent bass speaker in the doors. So great to have WAZE and Spotify, and Bluetooth phone calls in my 22 year old 996. Took out my crappy base head unit and went with a nice Pioneer head unit yesterday. Well, now that I confirmed that the factory speakers are in fact awful, I�ll be back for round 2. And my guess is the factory 2 ohm amp is also garbage. Right? For now though, JBL, Kicker, Rockford, Alpine�.which one will give the best sounding base? I know. I know. A sub woofer would be preferable. Maybe there�s a small sub box to go in the frunk, but I would really prefer to put some bass speakers in the doors. Thanks.

I used Alpine SPS-410 in the dash and rear and a Sony 55W RMS head unit to power the fronts and rears. I have a small 2 channel amp to power the door speakers at 2 ohms. It sounds pretty good and is a really simple and relatively cheap setup that matches the interior decently.
How do you mount new speakers to the factory grills?
