Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

It's been a while since I've posted. I sold my first 996 back in May with the plan of getting into a 996 turbo or a 997 C2 in 1.5 to 2 years. I knew I didn't want to keep my first one forever and I also knew it would be tougher to sell once it hit 100k miles so I sold it at 84k miles. After a few months, I missed the car and after thinking about my plan, I decided that it might not be the wisest move to dump $35k to $45k on a car that sits in my garage most of the time. I also didn't think that the additional enjoyment of the turbo was worth $15k to $20k more. So I decided to start looking for a yellow or white 996 C2 with Aero kit. I took delivery of this beauty today - 1999 C2 with factory Aero. I think it would be difficult to find a cleaner '99 than this. If you recognize this car, yes it is indeed porsche-t's car.

POST 2Original post

Well done! And seriously, who wants a garage queen anyway...

POST 3Original post

Very nice car. Congrats. I didn't care much for 99 aeros with taco wings but they have grown on me. On your comment about Turbos, some over in the Turbo forum may argue that a turbo is worth at least over $50K except if it's guards red and tracked. KC knows; he'll tell ya!

POST 5Original post

Love the taco wing! Looks great with the black wheels as well.

POST 6 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

This car wasn't for sale per se. I PM'ed the owner and asked if he would sell anytime soon....

POST 7Original post

Beautiful. I can't ever recall seeing a '99 Aero in white before.

Well there was the one in NJ that was recently totaled by a Prius (as if we needed more reasons to dislike them!). Great looking car though. Maybe I should look for a white one to contrast ours. Have to see if I can get "mono" and "chrmatic" or "yin" and "yang" for the plates though.

POST 14Original post

Great looking car. I haven't seen a white Aerokit car before. Very nice!

IIRC, that was a wrapped car in white so it doesn't really count.

POST 16Original post

Have always liked 911s in white, the aero kit is a plus. Good score!

POST 17Original post

Nice car, but the additional coin for the turbo is completely worth it.

It is factory Glacier White. Broke my heart to see it leave on a flatbed, but I had my fun with it and now it is time for someone else to enjoy. So I have to say "so long and thanks for all of the fish".

Thanks to KC for helping me get the paperwork together.

POST 22Original post

Beautiful car. I wanted a Taco in white but couldn't find one. How many miles are on her?

63k miles

POST 24Original post

After I sold the car to jamren, this is the daily driver now. Not on par with the Carrera, but it's easier to get in and out of (I'm an old guy). Volvo S60 T5

Cool. If you don't mind me asking, what sort of factory options does she have?

For the record, I wasn't talking about your old car. There's another member that recently got into an accident that had a wrapped white GT3 "clone" as he puts it. Other than that, I don't remember seeing any other '99 in Glacier White paint scheme.
