I recently purchased my first Porsche, a 2003 Carrera Cabriolet. First, it is an amazing car. It brings an enormous grin to my face just looking at it. The only issue with the car appears to be something with the driver's seat. When put into the extreme down position, it shorts the fuse and the seat's electric operation stops working. It is easily fixed with a new fuse, which are cheap, but I'd like to do away with the problem altogether. In doing some research, it seems this is not an uncommon occurrence. Harnesses become loose, wires become exposed, and when the seat is moved into an extreme position, it will cause wires to meet, shorting the fuse. My question is how easy is it to access the harness and re-insulate/secure the harnesses to prevent this issue? Does anyone know of a step-by-step? I haven't seen one in my searches. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance!
