So, the newer Michelin PS4S tires don't come in the necessary size for rears in the wide body C4S. Are most people sticking with OEM suggested sizes and buying the older PS2 tires or are you buying the PS4S (which I read to be fairly superior tires) in a different size?

I read on one forum that the PS4S in C4S size will be available very soon. Hopefully someone will have more information?
I stuck with PS2. Even though it's an old design it's better than whatever else was available IMO. Some people say PS2s are still better than PSS and PS4S in dry (most of the tire improvements were in wet).
I bought PS2s last year. They have been talking about a 295/30r18 PS4S for at least a year now.
I recently went through this, and ended up with PS2's. (I needed a 315/30/18 tire) It feels like most sports cars/gt cars these days are moving towards 19" wheels, so tire manufacturers are going to concentrate their efforts there. I wouldn't hold my breath for more 18" PS4S options.
Having a C4S with PS4S, they are a very impressive tire; comfort, noise, grip and overall balance of performance. If you can, update to 19" wheels to take advantage of where the market is going and I'm sure you will not be disappointed.

I love the OEM Turbo Twist wheels more than any aftermarket wheels Ive seen on a 996. Ill have to see if there are replicas in 19.
I went to 19" on my C4S as I couldn't get a the tyres I wanted in the 18" sizes. Managed to get the Continential Sport 6's in the 315/25/19 as the Michelin's were not available, but they will be as well as possibly the Goodyear's which have had good reviews.
Good news...
General gmax rs. So fsr they have been very good for the price. No, they aren't the michelins.
That is good news. Hopefully someone will be able to get stock.

The G-MAX RS are fantastic tire in the rain as well. If you want something closer to the PS4S, check out the Continental ExtremeContact Sport. Moved to these on my WRX when Discount Tire stopped carrying Pilot Super Sports. No complaints so far.

That's exciting, too bad I just bought PS2s for my C4S. Guess I'll just have to drive alot, wear them out, and then get some new P4Ss.

That's great news. I'll probably buy a couple of 295/30R18s and move my 285/35R18s to my other set of wheels.
