Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

21 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Looks like I have a buyer for my car. It also looks like there are new rules in place for bringing a car to Canada. Any of you done this before? Tips, info, links are appreciated.

POST 2Original post

https://www.riv.ca/ImportingAVehicle.aspx Seems onerous but not really....essentially get a letter and receipt....fax to boder crossing 48 hrs before crossing...buyer shhows up pays duty then goes gets an inspection to get registered.

POST 3Original post

I think there are actually some new requirements on the US side - something to do with the census. It could be a pretty big issue for Canadian buyers (and US sellers). https://rennlist.com/forums/rennlist...astically.html

POST 4Original post

Alright Pete! My advice...pictures always help distract the authorities on both sides of the border. Hope it goes through for you SP.

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Yup fingers crossed! I plan on adhering some centerfolds under the frunk lid.

Charlie you are correct.....I had to apply for a Employer Identification Number (EIN). Then I was looking at taking a 30 question quiz on exporting stuff which I have no idea. Thankfully the buyer has a broker to help with the transaction. Very cumbersome.

POST 7Original post

But should be worth it to both parties involved.

POST 8Original post

Pete, where is it going in Canada? Glad you found a buyer.

He is from Ontario. He sold a Nissan R32 Skyline to make it happen. Hopefully when this is complete he will introduce himself. The new export laws have pushed the pick up date to this Friday. I need a RL community good luck finger cross.

POST 14 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

The 996 is sold! New owner is one happy guy.

POST 16Original post

Congrats Pete. Now the wait begins. Good thing you got your buddy down the road that can help you with withdrawal symptoms until next year.

POST 17 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Funny you say that Alpy...I'm in the passenger seat of his 996 right now

POST 18Original post

Hey Pete, I bet you aren't in the passenger seat any longer. I see you have already done an avatar upgrade and you've listed your C4 Aero as a 'past' vehicle. CONGRATULATION!

Thanks Steve....the new avatar pic is the new car sitting at Flat6. I own the car and now I can complete the balance owed on the motor. It will be complete in Feb. In the meantime I'll be hoarding a few parts and pieces for when the car comes home. The fun part is just beginning

POST 20Original post

Congrats, all the way around Pete. Can't wait to see what ya do to the new baby!
