Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

2 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi All, I've got a 2004 996.2 Carerra 2 with 118,000km I'm aware of the Y cable. I believe my Y cable is 'OK' at present. A new battery has been fitted and when the car is start it reads just under 14 volts. As the car gets warmer I note the volts reads somewhere between 13-14 volts (with no individual lines I would guess 13.3 volts). When the car is hot hot it still starts and doesn't seem like it is a slow start. However what I've experienced randomly when starting the car hot is the car will start / turn over fine but the engine will go into a lumpy / rough idle. A blip of the throttle tends to smooth it out. Any thoughts? I don't have a computer to plug in to get codes or anything. There's no CEL.
