https://rennlist.com/forums/market/1320218 I remember that this car had a hidden hitch that went behind the license plate. Otherwise you wouldn't even know the car had a hitch. Searching online I can't find the hitch available anymore. Can anyone help me sourche them or one?

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

What are you going to tow? Just curious, when I had my engine out I didn't see much "towing" structure in there. Behind the plate would mean mounting to the aluminum "bumper" Behind the plate, not totally wimpy , but I'd say the biggest thing I'd trust would be a autocross tire trailer.. Or a bike rack.
Mosty a bike rack, but sometimes a tiny lightweight aluminum trailer. Probably 300lbs max.
They were made by a company named Willwood. Plenty of pictures online of them. Sometimes they come up for sale used.
I sold mine a while back. Think it could easily replicated if you really needed one.

That is considerably cleaner than what I had with the Willwood, fantastic idea.
Thanks folks. There is some good info here so far. I also found this which is a littel confusing. https://www.sporttows.com/sporttows-photos The hitch system looks cleaner than the Willwood, but there is a photo of a Porsche towing a small "Willwood" trailer, so....

You wouldn't happen to have any pictures of the actual hitch would you?

This is a pic taken from the internet but this is exactly what I had. The tow harness was tapped into the drivers side tail light harness. The hitch attached to the crash bar and it was an absolute pain in the *** to remove.
Yeah, I'm not as excited for that kind of setup because it looks like it hangs down below the car. I may have to fabricate something like this You Tube with this Amazon Amazon But do don't like the way he drilled through the rear crash / cross member. (what is that part called?
