Looking for info for the terminals used in the instrument cluster multi-pin connectors. Not the overall connector, but the individual crimp terminals that get inserted into them for each wire. Either Porsche P/N or original manufacturer type (probably molex or AMP?) Photo below. Roughly 2mm square and 17mm long total. Looking for these parts, as I am doing the on board computer hack for my '99 C4, and the pre-made cable (VW part 000-979-010) has gotten very expensive for some reason...$15-30 for one from places like Pelican, ECS tuning, VW Vortex etc. That's silly for a single short wire with two crimp connections...if I can source the terminals it's simple to make my own. Mouser etc. Thanks

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Is there a PN stamped on the conn ? If so, I can likely figure out the crimps you need.

zbomb, I'm at work so can't look at the actual parts on my car at the moment. I haven't been able to find much about the early connectors, but here's a dwg of the later connector housing that could be the same with respect to the inner terminals (it's the 32 pin plug though): https://octopart.com/1-929409-1-te+c...ivity-45284620 1-929409-1 Suncoast also has kits with the replacement connector housings, but in typical Suncoast manner has obscured the actual part number with their own SKU: https://www.suncoastparts.com/produc...X6CLPLUGS.html So close...I need the crimp terminals, not the connector housings! Thanks
If all else fails i have a harness from a 2000 c2 so i could de-pin some wires from that connector and send them to u. How many do u need?

That would be great De Jeeper. I would ask for four of the terminals with say 4" of wire from the harness attached to I could splice in longer wire.
@De Jeeper has best solution. In a quick look I’m not sure which one to suggest.
Ok now i have one more thing to dig out. What color is the connector?

At your convenience, you favor is unexpected but welcome! No urgency really. It's the white connector...no preference at all though as I think they are all the same internal terminal. I owe you a cold one! Charley
