Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

14 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

As I search for my 996 C4S or C2, I am also on the lookout for a good independent shop. Looking to establish a relationship with somebody for both my PPI and the inevitable maintenance. Would like if they are in the city, but I will travel for the right relationship. Would appreciate your suggestions. Thanks!

Midwest Performance Cars. On Lake and Ogden. I've used them for the last 5 years for everything I can't do or don't have time to do myself. Fair/honest and always have done quality work. Pm me if you want to discuss further.

There's a lot of good and capable shops in the area but you may want to look into who can carry out an invasive PPI at a decent price. Just like home inspectors, there's only so much they can do and can't really tear up the drywall to look behind it for any electrical/structural/plumbing issues. Having an invasive PPI will go that extra step to look further into the engine and maybe worth the extra cost to some people.

Is it customary that you take the price of the ppi off the ask for the vehicle? Or is it purely at expense of buyer? I'm worried I may get 2 or 3 PPIs on vehicles I find (especially if they are out of state) before I go and decide on a vehicle. There's only so much you can learn by calling somebody.
