Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

10 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

I have the rennline shift **** but Im thinking white or black Something like this

POST 2Original post

Neither. BUT, It's your car customize it to what you like, not for others if you are going that route. If I was considering buying your car I would price in to the offer brining it back to stock.

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

It is stockish that’s all Porsche in there if my shift **** keeps you from buying my car your in the wrong list then the **** retention group drive red cars with ponies

you are missing the point. I think it looks like a crx, but you should not care it seems like you do based on that statment and the orginal question. I'm not the one looking at it make it your own. Which one do you like, that's the answer.

POST 5Original post

Mike, go with what you like. You can always change it back to the stock shifter. Besides, in 5 more years their will be more "restomod" 996 variations than we will be able to count. You only live once. Might as well enjoy it with a 996.

POST 6 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hell I enjoy the crap out of my cars I just bought a Boxster to teach my boys to shift in time for spring flings my post was get a recommendation on ***** to help blend in my interior the rennline one stands out too much for me I’m looking for various ***** in white or black like this

POST 7Original post

I think the white round **** would look perfect in your car and match the color/theme exactly. White is a rare color for Porsche, a white **** would look out of place in most cars, but not your car.. I have never though of myself as a "purest" because I will modify just about anything and everything about cars, but I do think I am a religious car person, ( to the Porsche Bible/ Gods) , and try to stay true to the Spirit of the creators.. As Dr.h.c.F. Porsche has been quoted himself " I couldn't find the sports car of my dreams, so I built it myself" ....there are many ways to commit blasphemy, but there are also many extreme mods that can be done in the true spirit like the " 996 Club Coup" or De-jeepers " GT3-ish" that I would consider the pinnacle of restomods so far.. So mod away !! Just don't **** off the Porsche Gods !!

Im happy with my 997 conversion. Black Forest makes a nice one too.

POST 10Original post

Really happy with the black Function First weighted shift **** in my 996 . In my opinion round fits the palm well , is old school and feels right . Plus looks good .
