My 2001 996 is getting a "misfire number one cyl" has 38k On start up it misses and hesitates when the throttle is quickly pushed. Runs perfectly otherwise. im assuming it's either an injector or the plug/coil pack. Is there a way to determine which? Or could it be something else. Thanks in advance for any help! dan

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.
4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

Swapping those items individually to another cyl is about the only way to narrow it down
That's was I was thinking but hoping some 996 Genius had a better way!
