Cup Holders? Cheap interiors? Cheap sounding doors? De-sensitized driving experience? You'd think I was describing a Ford, not a Porsche. Porsche needs to wake up. The best thing that could have happened to them was for them to be bought out by VW. That way they could focus on sports cars, much like Ferrari does since the Fiat buy-out. Now, thanks to the Boxster we have to live with a watered down 911 and a SUV?... Does anyone else feel this way or am I the only die hard?

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

No, I agree with you 100%. I am getting a little tired myself of all the complaining about the radio in the 996. Since when does a "sports car" have power steering and cup holders?
Guys I really think you are all taking these rumours and stories far far too seriously. Wait until you see the exhaust pipes before jumping around. Half these stories are coming from journalists who have no story so they invent them, quoting reliable sources. When it is announced in the German press then you take some notice, maybe but even the local press have been publishing fake artists impressions lately as well. When they roll off the production line is time to worry. I believe by 2004 things will be somewhat different than they are now anyway, Ciao, Adrian 911C4
Adrin, what the hell are you talking about? Are you replying to the same post as we are?
I believe Adrian is indeed replying to the topic of this post,--> "911 V-8? R the directors at Porsche smoking crack?"
I don't think Boxster and Boxster S are watered down versions of 911s. They are completely on a different class and have pros and well as cons.
Hey Gluteus Maximus, if you are so unhappy about your 996, why don't you sell it? Why did you buy it in the first place, CHARLES?
Where in my post did I say I was unhappy with my 996? I am unhappy with the direction in which Porsche is going. Maybe if you read things more carefully, you wouldn't jump to conclusions. I don't understand your post, who is Charles?
