My 2003 Carrera 4 came with the wrong frunk carpet installed. I bought a correct, I believe, carpet set. The opening for the internal release latch is much smaller than the latch I have. I've searched Suncoast, Pelican, etc., but the only part number I find is for the "large" latch (the one I have, which doesn't appear to fit). Is there a different latch for the C4 vs the C2? The latch I have is correct for a C2, but is much bigger than the cutout in the C4 carpet. Am I looking at this the wrong way? Does anyone have a pic of the release latch in their C4 they could share? A part number would be great, too- so far I've only been able to find the part number listed for the handle I already have. Here's a pic that shows the carpet, the cutout that appears to be for the latch, and the C2 latch which is much bigger than the cutout. Any help is appreciated!

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Can’t you trim the carpet?
That's one option. I'd rather get the right part if possible. Anybody have a pic of theirs?
