Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

8 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

No parts numbers on them. Can't figure out what they're for. 1999 C2 Cab with Hardtop. Top one identified: Owners manual holder. Lower one: ???

POST 2Original post

Maybe a subaru? At least tell us what car u have...year, cab or coupe. About where were did u find them near off the car or where they just left over in a box after a full chassis resto?

POST 3Original post

The top part is the owners manual holder. It attaches underneath the dash on the drivers (left) side.

Thanks! I updated the post. The long one is kind of flimsier plastic.

POST 5Original post

Do you want to sell the owner's manual tray? I'm looking for one, but having trouble finding one.

Thanks, but I'll be reattaching it.

Ahh, I asked the same question awhile back. That long piece holds the windscreen when it's put away folded. Your car would have come with a windscreen, a large pouch on the front of the spare tire cover to hold it and this nesting piece in the bottom of the pouch. Mine is just styrofoam. I picked up a like new OEM windscreen on ebay for a couple hundred. It works great to reduce turbulence but I don't use it much.

Ah ha! Yes I have the windscreen (love that thing). That explains why the pouch on the front of the spare tire cover is so big. I wondered why it needed to be so big for the little tool kit
