Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

6 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

The "Hey, the 996 is actually pretty good" articles are getting _nearly_ as tiresome as the "Hey, the 996 is crap" articles. I prefer the former, but they're often posted as defense against the latter, which strikes me as unnecessary. Whether one cheap bastard on Jalopnik thinks 996's lemons or another guy on another site thinks they're peaches doesn't really affect how I feel about what's in my garage. I give all f**k about what other people think about my cars. Lots of people (interestingly, most commonly the ones who drive TERRIBLY dull cars) have supercilious things to say about my Corvette or my 911 - and to them I say, Good Day, Sir! Your opinion matters not! Now go climb into your 6,000 pound, three-row offspring hauler and take your wailing, sniveling sex prevention devices off to soccer or gymnastics. I have stuff to do...check the oil in the 996, and perhaps slide another sheet of cardboard under the 'Vette to soak up the oil it has deemed unworthy of keeping onboard. I think 12-year-old me would be delighted with the contents of my garage - and that's good enough for me.

Thus proving that brevity is indeed the soul of wit. Well said, sir. But I do like reading positive articles about a car I own. Lets my fragile ego know I made a wise choice...
