Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I just passed the inspection by having a garage put the CATs back on my car. Now, I want to put the CAT bypass pipes back on. I don't want to run to my mechanic ever year to have him install my CATs and then, after inspection have him reinstall the CAT bypass pipes. I don't have a lift but, is swapping out the CATs a DIY? Looks like 3 nuts on each pipe and a bracket. Also, do I have to remove the bumper to swap out the CATs?

POST 2Original post

One of the easiest DIYs you can do. I have to do the same every two years, have it down to 2 to 3 hours. Its *much* easier with the bumper cover removed. Takes maybe 10 mins to uninstall.

POST 3Original post

Very easy DIY. No need to remove the rear bumper. Do you have to pass a visible inspection? If not, you can install these and pass an OBD2 Test: https://www.fabspeed.com/universal-9...nverters-pair/

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hmmm, and you pass inspection with those and no CEL? There is no visual inspection that I'm aware of. I just had it inspected this week. Pulled in, they plugged in the VAG and a few minutes later they put on a new sticker.
