Hi all, I am just about to place an order for my 2002 996 in the UK.I am not sure whether to go for basalt black and black leather sports seats, with carbon fibre
dash, red seat belts and red brake calipers
(expensive), to be displayed thru the 18 inch wheels. Or....Polar silver with black and polar interior(Perhaps more conservative!)
P.S. Does any body know if the turbo look wheels as an option for 2002, are like those of the 993T or 996T?

What's been referred to as "Turbolook" is the style of the 993 Turbo's wheels. The 996 Turbo has a different design which is not available on any other model yet. The Turbolook wheels have been removed from the US 2002 order guides. Perhaps, they are still available in the UK?

The UK model spec list for my 2002 gives
18 inch 'turbo look' wheel as option code 413
and neither my dealer (who btw are very good)
or Porsche UK are able to confirm the exact style of wheel...Rich
Yes, 413 has always been the Turbolook wheel as pictured above. If it is on your order guide, chances are you can get it.
However, consider option 411 instead. It is the 5-spoke wheel on the right. Supposedly, a very lightweight wheel compared with the others.
Yeah, PCNA is unlikely to lower prices. It would be nice if they did, though. They'd still be making money, maybe even more of it. The US Dollar buys 8% more Deutsche Marks now than it did a year ago, and 15% more than at the beginning of 2000.
