Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hello guys, I'm trying to choose a rear wing for my 03 C4S for when my engine work is done. I think I've narrowed down my choice to this particular wing, but not 100% sure what it is, and/or who the manufacturer is. Can anyone tell me with certainty what wing this is, and who makes it? Thanks again for the help!

Looks like a Turbo factory Aerokit but can't be because of the center reflector. I like the look of the Aerokit wing better than the GT2 wing. That's a nice looking wing even if aftermarket. And I think it would look awesome on the C4S with the Aerokit front spoiler lip. Plus it would be balanced air flow when doing your 150+ mph runs. I think there is an aftermarket company on ebay that sells the lip and possibly the decklid.

Thanks guys. I have done some seaching and i guessing it is (or is referred to as) factory "Aero kit 2 wing". From what i see the factory "Aero kit 1 wing" has a folded over look to it, and I'm guessing it may be referred to as the "flying taco wing"? I'm not partial to that wing. I don't know if any of this is horse **** or not? Trying to search for aftermarket Porsche spoilers/wings, and positively ID them is a bit of a pain.

Yep, that's the factory C4S aerokit! Option code was/is XAH; the very-similar Turbo variant without the reflector/heckblende is XAF, but are different part numbers. This other thread has a bunch more info on all the variants, particularly if you search for "XAH" or "XAA" on the page. In short; "taco style" aerokit was only for 996.1 coupes, no room for the C4S's reflector. As for part numbers, this was a bit of a pain: - C4S: 996-512-901-04 - Turbo: 996-512-923-00 - .1 GT3: 996-512-901-00 - .2 GT3: 996-512-901-02 Seeing very few results for the C4S spoiler anywhere by part number, despite ample photo samples. Turbo and C4S wings are different parts, as the Turbo aerokit's entire rear decklid is primarily all one piece (hence the different part number scheme), and the GT3/C4S aerokit spoilers are comprised of many components. This "Tequipment catalogue" PDF has the specific part numbers on page 153; I'd upload a photo of it but I'm on a plane & the wifi is awful. Not seeing any replica offerings, but there's one available on eBay in CA here ! Hope this helps -- I'm a big fan of the C4S aerokit wing, and own a 1999 C2 with a taco.

Suncoast appears to sell the whole C4S aerokit -- https://www.suncoastparts.com/product/00004480229.html -- might we worth reaching out to them for more info

alex.melons ~ That's some good info that I didn't know! That ebay one that you linked is a good deal given its rarity, especially when a new one from Suncoast is $9000, including front piece.
