Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I have a WTB post for coilovers for my 2000 C2. I had someone message me with an offer for H&R coilovers for a C4 saying they would fit on my C2. I doubt this but just wanted to confirm? Thanks, Grant

POST 2Original post

Doubtful. Here's a quick Google search result showing different parts and prices for different models. I know that a C2 cab and C2 coupe sport springs are different part numbers, I would be surprised if a C2 and C4 share parts. Possible though, I guess.

POST 3Original post

Physically they'll fit but as pointed out already, the spring rates and/or dampening could be different.

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hmm... I suppose that means the fronts would be relatively stiffer which should make for more understeer. Thanks, I'm surprised to hear that they will actually bolt up! Grant

POST 5Original post

I tried to go the other direction. C2 coilovers on a C4. The did bolt up but I ultimately concluded (based on someone else's research) that the top hats were marginally different. I couldn't see anything but apparently there are some differences. In case you pass on the h&r's, please pm as I would be interested for my c4. (I'd offer my c2 coils but have since sold them)
