Just picked up my 99 C4 coupe Saturday. 97k on the pro, IMS/RMS, clutch and quite a few other items addressed in last 1000 miles. Flew into S FL Saturday morning and drove home to LA 789 miles. No problems� until I got home. Minor issue it seems. Wouldn�t start when me & the wife got in to go grab lunch. Spun over just no fire. I had an 83 SC for 12 years just sold it in 19 and had to get back in. Reminded me of hot start pressure issues. Called prev owner and he said it happened to him ONCE and he took it to shop where they told him most likely ignition switch. They couldn�t get it to replicate and did nothing to repair at the time. I did a little searching last night on here and I m leaning to switch as well. I noticed that when it didn�t start the radio came on, chime chimes and PSM off switch was lit up too. Every other time I started on drive home none of that happened. BTW it started fine when we got back from lunch and this Morning ordered switch and Bentley manual today. Let the new adventure begin. This 996 is just civilized enough, and what a great powerband. Need to put new rubber on her before really hammering on it though. I look forward to owning it and getting to know the forums here. For the SC it was mostly over at pelican. Same username here. Took these on my first stop on FL turnpike Saturday
