Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hello, I am looking for help valuing my fathers 2005 996 Turbo S cabriolet. The vehicle is black/black with a 6-speed manual and around 45,000 miles. It's largely stock with a few modest upgrades (has a chip, and bronze "cup" style wheels - have the original wheels as well). Overall the car is in good (not perfect) condition with a clean title. I have heard varying opinions about the value and rarity of the '05 Turbo S model, so I'm really trying to gain some insight on what kind of price range I could expect on a private sale. Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

https://www.tascabuickgmcclearwater....deec354510.htm Here's somewhat of a comp for you. I'd say $65,000k firm for that beauty. Maybe even $75,000.

yogi just bought this one for $60k, the owner wanted $70k, I saw the car last Saturday and to my surprise it is highly modified probably $50k in mods. The car is black with red interiors. The wrap is blue. Thats mine, I went for a drive and got lunch for my wife today. Thats yoggis new turbo S. Pretty impressive list of mods.

its a beautiful car. Im actually in the market for a turbo s. 🤘. I have been watching the market in them recently. For the miles and spec I think 65k or so is reasonable. Do you know if it was a hard top delete from factory?

I love seeing people talk about this car. It's a very special build. I'm actually working on my intro video as I type this post. The OP's Turbo S makes me smile because mine is/was black but with Boxster Red interior. Although coupes hold their value better, the cabs are something special. ESPECIALLY when you tune it, upgrade the exhaust and have the top down. WOW

Thanks! It's like being release from purgatory and realizing that a well kept 996 actually looks good and not all clapped out like my rescue. My TT, CK, grew up in a well-to-do family and my C2 Cab, Pepper, grew up on the other side of the tracks and her mom did crack in utero. 🤣
