Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

3 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Today's round of stump-the-chumps. 996 3.4l engine. Looking up from the right rear. I think that's the coolant temp sensor, no? No leaking on the cylinder head gasket or the valve cover gasket. Only thing moist up top was the PS filler. Bad cap? Thoughts? Source of fluid? Seems oily. Could this be the source?

POST 2Original post

I think you answered your question. Go get a new ps resoviur (sp?) and fix your issue.

POST 3Original post

It is actually really easy to do. Take a turkey baster and suck out the fluid in the ps tank. There a plastic type of nut on the tank..unscrew it and the whole tank pops out.

This is a source reference. Confirm exact model applicability in the original material.
