Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

1 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I have four part numbers for speakers I'd like to have someone look up ( I'm in the process of looking for a microfiche machine!). In the future I'll be able to look them up myself. 1) 996.645.048.01 C50 (right side) 2) 996.645.047.01 C50 (should be above left) 3) 996.645.038.02 01C (right side) 4) 996.645.037.02 01C (should be above left) They should all be front speakers for a 996. One interesting note: The first pair have the postive (+) end of midrange connected to the negative (-) end of the tweeter). The second pair have the positive (+) end of the midrange driver connects to the positive (+) end of the tweeter! Which pair is correct. the first seems to have the tweeter's polarity reversed. Why aren't they both the same? Also on one car, the left side had all the speakers marked "R", and the right side had all the apeakers marked "L"! It was correct on the other car ("L" on the left, etc..) [ 06-29-2001: Message edited by: Ofer ] [ 06-29-2001: Message edited by: Ofer ]
