Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

6 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I'll be working on installing my UAOS soon and figure that I should probably change out my oil fill tube while I'm at it. It has been superceded by Porsche a few times with the latest version being # 997 107 131 00 ( https://eeuroparts.com/product/genui...he/99710713100 ). I have the original yellow oil cap, # 996 107 035 50 ( https://eeuroparts.com/product/genui...he/99610703550 ) but I'm not sure if it will fit the latest version of the fill tube. Can anyone confirm if it does? I realize that I can move to the latest black version of the oil cap, # 996 107 035 52 ( https://eeuroparts.com/product/genui...he/99610703552 ) but I'd rather not for aesthetic reasons.

POST 4Original post

The caps are interchangeable. I couldn't wait to dump the yellow cap which always looked filthy no matter how many times I tried to clean it.

POST 5Original post

The tube is the same part, just with the 997 part number. visually I couldn’t tell any difference. Either cap should fit fine.

Just what I needed. Thanks all!
