Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

When the key was turned to position 2 but engine hadn't been started yet. Sound started at 00:04 sec and ended at 00:06 sec. Sounded like flaps opening/closing however they sounded a little bit lethargic?

POST 2Original post

Hard to tell but you may want to focus on the fuel pump, the a/c actuating motors, and the electrnonic throttle body if it's eqipped with one. Should be easy to track down if you ask someone to turn the key and you listen at the frunk, engine bay, etc.

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Sorry I should've put more information in the post. It's a 2003 C4 Tip, and the video was taken on the frunk. It makes that sound every time the key is turned to position 2. I don't know whether it's always been like that.

POST 4Original post

Pretty sure thats the fuel pump priming. What was your battery voltage when it happened?

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

The battery is new (one year old), and it has a Ctek charger maintaining it. I would say based on that (and I have a new voltage regulator installed last year too), it would be at the max allowable voltage (13.8v)? I'll confirm when I can get my son to stand inside the frunk with a multimeter.
