FWIW, I'm taking my 2000 C4 Cab out to have an early lunch at The Grill @ Wente Vineyards in Livermore, which just reopened for outdoor dining after a year of being closed to non-members), which is located behind the clubhouse just off the 18th hole of the golf course there. Update : No one accepted my invitation but I had a pleasant lunch at The Grill nonetheless. Here's a view of the 18th hole and beyond from the patio. The winding road in the distance is called z'Lombard Streetz' and takes you to the back 9. Had a fun drive in the 996 before and after lunch. If you've never been to The Grill, I highly recommend it. Reservations are now required and full table service has been suspended. You have to order at a "take out" window but they will still bring your order to your table. They have a full bar, craft beer on tap and a lot of wine to choose from. Food is ok but overpriced. I mainly go there for the view. NorCal Porsche driving group is doing a drive this Saturday the 27th, from Starbuck 12960 Saratoga Sunnyvale Rd. Saratoga leaving at 7:30 am to Alice Restaurant..
