Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi All, Anyone have experience with the EuroCupGT Twin Intake Kit? http://www.eurocupgt.com/acatalog/eu...tion_kits.html There are a few guys who have tried over at 6speed. Looks really slick. I am worried about issues with heat soak and wanted to see if others have had experiences with this set-up?

The heat shield in that design does nothing. You still have engine bay heat getting in. You need to have a sealed source for fresh 'cooler' air as the factory unit does. The newer twin intake units on GT3's and the like are the best solution. Some designs suck air in from the top vent under the fixed wing like mine and some of the newer designs have a vent in the rear bumper and suck air into the box from there. Stay away from the open designs as the air inside your engine compartment is hotter then the outside air unless your in Death Valley I guess.

This is a source reference. Confirm exact model applicability in the original material.
