I have searched everywhere online trying to decode my 996. My question is the 6th digit...everywhere I go there isn't a 6th digit before the year of the car. Any clarification would be greatly appreciated... WP0CR2993XS......

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.
5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

Sorry, I meant the 5th digit... R? It is supposed to be the engine but can seem to find that identifier. Thanks!
I believe the 5th digit on your sticker is an "A". For the 996, I see that listed simply as "Carerra" engine. (versus "B" for a Turbo/GT2)
Yep, just triple checked it and it is an A. Thanks Frisbee91!
