Anyone have any feed back or experience with Brombacher exhaust or Milltek? Looking to upgrade my C4s with little more grunt but don't want the drone.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

not a fan of exotic expensive exhaust, try maxspeed, agency power
You might want to consider the Fister D modification of the stock mufflers. There are plenty of you tube videos that you can watch and listen to. If I am not mistaken this is similar to the Porsche Sport Exhaust which sounds great.
If you're just looking for sound, go with Fister. You won't be able to wipe the grin off your face.

Milltek sounds perfect IMO. I had some issues with fitment but I think on a C4 it would be super-easy. My opinion is that they designed the mufflers for the wide body, and left it way too tight on the narrowbody. Fitment on your car would be easier. Here you can compare the sound of the 996 w/ Milltek at full chat, vs a C7 Corvette, a 991 GT3, and some completely unmuffled Boxsters. https://goo.gl/photos/2s3RNB5GvQkdiWek6 In street driving it's perfect. Below 50% throttle it sounds identical to stock, and in fact when you're off-throttle I think it may even be quieter than stock. There is zero drone on the highway, and you can still have a conversation at completely normal volume. Put your foot down and it growls a little more, and at WOT it sounds like an animal. It adds a lot of bass, but very little high-frequency noise like a lot of "racy" exhausts. I really think they nailed it. Here you can watch leaving the pits and a warmup lap, which gives you a sense of what it sounds like when driven gently, and then you can hear it at full speed. You Tube

My car came with the Bromacher exhaust (just mufflers). It sounds amazing. It's the only 996 I have ever driven, so I cannot comment on any performance difference.
