Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

How do you pop these switches out? I've removed my shifter console and want to relocate the power window switches in these locations. I can't seem to pop out the heated seat switches to replace them with the power window switches. I'd hate to break the batwing trying to pop them out. Any advice or recommendations?

POST 2Original post

There are small tabs, all the way around, holding the switch. Press on each, gently, then apply some force.

Thanks for the reply. I tried spreading all the tabs gently on each side w a couple of small screwdriver blades. Even though the tabs pulled away from the switch housing, the switches wouldn't move a bit. I failed. A new batwing is $12 so I'll pick one up this week and leave mine intact w the heater switches if I ever convert back.
