Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

13 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I just came home from 6 weeks at work. Car appeared to have leaked something. Lots of condensation present, engine casing had white powdery/pasty nodules all over and right side of car had what appears some coolant drip on ground. Coolant was just below min line before start. Car runs fine and can't find source. Oil is good, no mix. No evidence of leak near water pump. Need to get it on lift for better look. Some pics of the evidence. Again, the greenish stuff was under the right hand side. Weather has at one point been extremely humid here, but have never found my car (03 C4S) like this on my return. Any ideas?

POST 2Original post

I hate it when raccoons **** in my garage... Who knows what else they were up to in there! They have no respect for other people's property... On a more serious note, can you grab some pics of the underside of the car where the leak is coming from? Try and follow the trail as far as you can see. That'll help..

POST 3Original post

Looks like coolant. Best to pressure test so you can locate/identify the cause or source of leak since no obvious visual cues

POST 4Original post

uh oh, I see some copper flakes. Trade it into Carmax while it's still running.

POST 5Original post

Were the gelatinous-looking blobs already on the floor, or are those from the car? My car does not make boogers, so I'm not sure what we're looking at.

POST 7Original post

I hate to say it but I think that weird guy raped your car's exhaust and didn't wear protection.

POST 8 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

The globs came from the car. Looked liked dried out coolant. Car going into shop soon. I'll keep you posted.
