Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

In my internet travels I remember a specs page listing a factory option for a lower drivers seat? The reason I ask is when I put my helmet on I hit the roof. I'm 6'4" and already have the seat all the way back and reclined a good amount. What are my options, could I re-work the factory brackets and drop it down an inch? Or should I look into an aftermarket seat?

That's up to you. Is the seat defo at it's lowest setting? They do have four way settings. Up, down, back and forward. Six if you include the tilt back and forth. I am sure the 996 should accommodate a tall person as yourself (wearing an helmet ummm). Check under the seat in case some object was accidentally kicked under it. (Like maybe your wallet) lol.
