Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

3 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

The one held in with a rubber grommet between 4-5 runners. Any tricks to reinstalling? I can't to get it to pop back in. Thanks in advance.

POST 2Original post

Put the sensor in the rubber grommet and slide it in. Soapy water if needed.

POST 3Original post

Ordered a new water/coolant temp sensor - the one sending the signal to the gauge (not DME). Are there any torques to be concerned with install? Hope this fixes the sometimes erratic gauge readings on my 95 968.
