Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

He shelled out $1.3 Million for the Porsche Classic Club Coupe. He has earlier stated money means nothing to him. Porsche calls it the Classic Club Coupe —a product of the Sonderwunsch (special request) program dating to the late 1970s, through which Porsche Classic and Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur make it possible to design individualized, one-off cars, co-created by the client and Porsche. Experts from a wide range of fields, depending on the project, handle the client’s request and have expertise in current and classic vehicles. This 911 Classic Club Coupe marks the first commission within the Sonderwunsch program that’s based on what Porsche considers a classic vehicle: the 996-generation 911 . {edit: The 996 Sally Special (a one off designed to resemble the 996 in the movie Cars) sold for $3.6 Million with the proceeds going to charity}

Didn't know it was Jerry that bought it. Always enjoyed the show and admired his collection. Glad to hear he appreciates the 996.

POST 4Original post

I love this, not just because I own a 1999 996... but.. well... okay that is the main reason.

Excuse me, but Mr. Voigt would not be caught in such a plebian car. His chariot of choice was the Chrysler Le Baron.

POST 10Original post

Im looking forward to hearing about it on Spikes Car Radio.

My apologies. What was I thinking.

Celebrities loved the Le Baron.

POST 13Original post

Great! Maybe I'll see it in person if Jerry takes it to All American Burger in Massapequa, where he's taken some others of his iconic cars.

POST 14Original post

Ill bet on Easthampton(unless he takes it to visit Mr Bevilaqua).

POST 15Original post

Jerry are you on here? If so please share how she drives. It has to be the most amazing experience. Is the steering as good as I think it is?

POST 16Original post

996 fever is only just beginning. Magnus gets the millennials excited about the 996 thru his youtube videos. Seinfeld pays a handsome price for a one of a kind 996. Nobody talks about the headlights anymore. Even with the cost of a rebuilt engine, the car is less expensive and will be less expensive "all in" to service, maintain, refresh and enhance in relation to a 997, 991 and 993. Plus it has aged well with a classic look that can be "dressed down" w/o aero or "dressed up" with aero. Who the heck wouldn't want a 996. Maybe Leno is next. Regardless, the list will continue to grow.

The Club Coupe is a really cool car. Worth every penny he paid.

#1 - I highly doubt JS is lurking on Rennlist. #2 - Even if he were, I doubt hed identify/out himself Lets face it, theres really no upside for him here. Its not like he does his own wrenching and is looking for tips I think its great that he bought the 996 club coupe - its a very cool car, & hes got lots of cool cars (some of which are questionable, but theres no accounting for taste).

POST 19Original post

Don’t discount the entertainment value that is rennlist. Mostly in the new GT3 forums and not here. But where else he gonna learn about early 996’s eh? and how do we know you aren’t Jerry Seinfeld?
