Hi All, My 2003 996 didn't come with the factory CD changer. Do you know if it has the wiring installed anyway? I got a CDC-3 (993 cd changer) at the LA Dismantler auction (in a misc box of stuff), and hear it "might work" with a 996, but obviously, it would need the wiring. TIA, Paul
2003 cd changer is likely to be fiber (MOST) connected. Does your car have Bose? If so, definitely fiber/MOST connected. --Tom 2003 C2
Thanks Tom! I saw a listing that claimed that the 993 CDC-3 could be used in a 996, but maybe only if the 996 DOESN'T have the Bose system (pretty sure mine does, there are Bose placards everywhere) And now looking at other info, the 2003 996 CD changer is the CDC-4 , with different connectors (fiber optic?). So "pretty sure" it wouldn't "plug and play" (what I was hoping for...) I don't know if the unit works, so won't sell it, maybe someone on the 993 forum would like it... Thanks for your answer. Paul
