Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi, I'm looking for the torque spec for the transmission output shaft/front yoke on a '99 C4. My plan had been "as tight as possible," but I bought a torque multiplier so I can do it right! Paul

POST 2Original post

I can't copy out of the workshop manual but it says... 170 Nm (126 ftlb.), loosen then tighten to 120 Nm (89 ftlb.).

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Whoa ... I'm glad I asked! I was thinking it'd be 250 ft lbs or so as it is M20 x 1.5 and I swear I saw somebody write 250 somewhere. I even bought a torque multiplier to do it right! (Back in my Jeep days, I'd have rammed it on with a big impact and called it 'good.') Paul
