Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

2001 C4. I did not know of the Aero Kits thing when I bought my car on an impulse. Now that I see these spectacular cars with aero kits I am like DANG it!!!!!! I want one of those instead. Can't have 2 of these cars, so how can I justify buying an aero kits for my car? More MPG? (probably not) Higher top speed? (not going to ever go that fast anyway) Geebus that is hot looking. yea but dang!!!

POST 2Original post

You can justify it by saying "I need a more manly car" lol..

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Wife's car so no probably not. My car is a hopped up E36 M3. Maybe I should take up a collection for a 996 GT3. Woot!!!!!!

POST 4Original post

More planted feel at higher speeds but it will be either difficult or costly to assemble or buy a OEM aero kit. Ask me how I know.

POST 5Original post

one of the MUST-HAVES when I was shopping for a 996: full aero (mine has Techart bits, not cheap if I had to pay for the entire set-up) P.S. cab haters, please take it easy...but I live in Southern California

POST 6Original post

Those don't look like Techart parts. Your side skirts and GT fins are Porsche. Do you have a different front spoiler?

I agree but I'm guessing his rear decklid spoiler is the TA piece.

I think I have the Type III Rear Wing: http://www.sharkwerks.com/products.php?pid=306 Honestly, seller (manager of a local speedshop) listed the car as having a full aerokit by TechArt. And since I do not have proof or know better, then I say you are probably right YOU HAVE THE REAL DEAL factory EXCLUSIVE OPTION, I DON'T (my option code trunk sticker does not list aero, I am guessing PO paid for the add-ons after purchase) NOTE: I now remember that you have already corrected me back in 2012...I promise to remember next time Below is a shot of my front spoiler lip: http://www.sharkwerks.com/products.php?pid=316

Yeah, those are Techart parts. Wonder why he didn't use the side skirts.
