Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

2 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I have a '99 996. I'm trying to remedy a small leak on my power steering lines at a joint on the passenger side (US Car) lines just below the rocker panel ahead of the rear wheel. The blow up diagrams of the system show continuous lines from back to front, but my car has these unions that appear to be billet aluminum. I'm expect that when I open the hex bolt that is holding these together that there will be an o-ring or something that can be replaced. I'd prefer to order OEM, but since I can't find this part on the diagrams, I'm kind of lost. Any guidance would be appreciated. (The undercoating is burned and peeling in this area because this is a caged race car and the cage ties in directly above this point) NEVERMIND - I'm an idiot and these are the AC lines. No idea why they are wet with oil or where it could be coming from. The search continues.

Those look like AC lines. Are they near the rear wheel passenger side? Edit, reread, yes those are AC lines
