Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Check out what I'm going to do to my 996 Cabriolet! Plus see how excited Yogi-Mama got when she saw that big member! You Tube

POST 2Original post

Excellent video, as always! And we are subscribers. I would have thought that the 4.0 engine rebuild was the sound upgrade. By the way, the butyl rubber works by converting mechanical vibration to heat. Some people use it in speaker cabinets to dampen the cabinet walls.

"Oh My!" Comedic timing was brilliant, your reaction priceless. Great idea to break up the grey.

Good point on the 4.0 noise. I ordered very specific KilMat for only allowing flat-six noises to pass through the material. I started getting jealous when she started touching it. I'm super excited to see what that Rit Dye will do. Beforehand, I'll be swapping out the engine on my '95 E320 wagon since I bought it with the piston 5,6 delete option. Hopefully you guys will follow along. Should be interesting and I'm looking forward to hanging a 3-pointed star flag on my wall next to the Audi once it's done.

Yogi, which model lift are you using? Looks like you have extenders, too. How high can you lift the vehicle?

I own the previous version of the lift so I don't have that extra 3". However, I got the car up 24" from the ground to the bottom of the rear bumper liner with the extension and hockey pucks, so just barely enough room to drop and slide it out w/o any interference. Very stable. I've shaken it up pretty good with all the welding, grinding and overall crawling all over it. No fear of teetering.

That was evident in the video. I'll see myself out.

I literally spit my coffee out. Worth it. 😉 ☕️
