Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi everyone. I have a 2002 C2 cab. Ive had it parked in the garage for a few days with the top down. I go to put the top up today and nothing! The convertible icon light which usually stays on during the closing/opening process just flashes. No sound from the motor. I havent had any issues or have had no symptoms. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance.

POST 2Original post

Could be the sensor that tells the top the the ebrake is on. Mine did this and it is a quick easy fix.

POST 3Original post

Is the parking brake engaged? Won't work unless it is. Found that out the other day when I tried to put the top in my 2000 C4 Cab "up.". LOL! As for the prior post, I would think the problem would be that something is telling the car that the ebrake is NOT engaged even if it is. In either case, the car needs to think/know that the ebrake is engaged b4 the top will operate
