I have a 986 Boxster with a corrupted airbag module, the story is here: https://986forum.com/forums/performa...nderstand.html Since 986s and 996s share the same airbag module I am hoping someone here can help me. Thanks in advance.

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I would second the reply from @JFP_in_PA to your 986 Forum post. That reply follows: Error code 21: Airbag Ignition Circuit Driver fault This means the car's computer has detected an open circuit, short, or communication failure with the driver's side airbag, indicating it may not deploy in a crash. Most Likely Causes & Fixes 1. Faulty Clock Spring (most common) 2. Corroded or Loose Wiring 3. Low Voltage or Dying Battery Good luck.

^^^^ +1 .....To troubleshoot the code 21 you will be an air bag resister by-pas tool that mimics a good driver's side airbag.... Also the other codes you received when swapping in newer airbag modules is due to them not being "coded" correctly for the particular car/accessories, so they can be ignored/disregarded as a troubleshooting tool...
