I recently went to clear my front drainage holes and accidentally pushed one in. Does anyone know how I can access the area this would be pushed into? It is the drainage hole on the driver's side. What happens without the drainage plug there? Is this a big problem or does the water just drain under the car? Whats the easiest way to get to this plug from the underside so that I can retrieve and fix? Wheel well? under dash?? Thanks! George

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Can you still see it? If so grab it with long nose pliers and pull it back above the panel, don't yank it out. It' basically a funnel shaped grommet with a tail. After you have it above the panel ease it back in place. If you leave it out you will have water intrusion into the cabin. Wear your wellies. It can also get to the electronics under the seat.
All of mine were pushed through when I got my car. There is no access from anywhere but through the hole. Which one specifically? Take the battery out and you have more access depending upon which one wen through. I have an extended pair of curved needle nose pliers that work perfect to reach in the hole and pull it back through.
