Anyone have pics of a Seal Grey 996 with anthracite or titanium colored rims? I was thinking about having my wheels refinished since some of the nicks and bruises are starting to bother me a bit. My C4S cab has the stock 18" Turbo Twists. I like the current stock color against the body but I was wondering what else might look good.
A couple of things though...
- I don't really like black wheels since I think they hide the shape of the spokes too much. Maybe on a black car but mine isn't.
- I like bright colors but I think they look more appropriate on a coupe than a cab so bright colors probably won't work well.
Any thoughts? FWIW, the car has a grey top, too.

I would be worried anthracite would just look dirty against the seal grey...but I did black and people told me the same thing. Fwiw I love the anthracite wheels now a days...my black wheels on my seal grey 986. Powder coat.
Here's my Seal Grey with black Avant Garde wheels. I like them MUCH better than I thought I would. The crests help a lot. I gets lots of compliments on the wheels.
The do lose definition in the shade though. The last pic shows that.
Your car looks great and I know black wheels are very popular today. I'm in the minority of folks who just don't like them. It's just not my thing. Maybe it's the old school guy in me.

Honestly, I probably couldn't have been convinced to buy them. I was 99% sure that when I bought the car I would swap them out. Now I like them.
That's not intended to convince you to go with black wheels, it's to say that i TOTALLY understand how you feel about black wheels! I'm old school as well. I think the black wheel fad will probably pass before too long.
Here are two pics of it before I bought it with Silver HRE wheels with aluminum lips. One in the shade, one in the sun. I was really disappointed these had been replaced. Maybe these older pics will help give you an idea of what yours would look like with aftermarket silver and aluminum wheels.
