What voltage does the volt meter indicate? How old is the battery?

Will check. Also, with engine off, turn on parking lights then dash lights, license plate lights and light on warning bell all flicker or turn off completely.

Could be the headlight switch. I'd hazard a guess that the ignition switch might also be culpable.

The light switch does fail. Replacement is not that hard.
