Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

12 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thought I would share my restoration progress for my Kinesis k28 wheels. The only before photo I have is when I went to record the tire size. I'll take side by side comparisons when I finished these two. The barrels were literally completely covered in left over adhesive tape from weights.

POST 2Original post

What did you use to remove the adhesive? I've not been successful at it with mine. Even Goo Gone couldn't seem to do the job.

Did you let the goo gone soak in? Usually goo gone works pretty good for me. The alternate is Naphtha.

I let it soak with goof off (the one in the metal can), and then hit it with this decal eraser this decal eraser .

wont the Goof Off damage the clearcoat?

POST 6 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Goof off is some pretty weak stuff to be honest. I believe the can says it's safe for clear coat, but to test in a small area first. Either way, there is no clear coat on these wheels.

POST 7Original post

one of my favorite wheels! I have a set of 19's that need a little TLC. Can we see them after your finished? on your car?

POST 9 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I just moved to Cali, so I'm living in an apartment without a garage for now. Been doing the polishing in my living room, so I didnt have the space to break them down haha Havent touched them since I posted the pics. On the east coast for work till the end of next week. Will definately post pics when theyre finished!

POST 10Original post

Or if you don't have the time or space you can send them our way and for around $200 ea. they can look something like this... www.wheeldynamics.com

POST 11 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks for the offer, I finally got around to finishing them though. Just been waiting to mount them. Not exactly sure what I'm waiting for though.
