Just bought a 2002 C4S. Love the car so far. I was taking apart the shifter last night because there is a lot of play and noticed the lever has a bend towards the passenger side. When watching short shifter install videos online, I�ve seen what appears to be the racing dynamics kit where the lever is bent towards the drivers side. Some owners have swapped the lever around on the short shift kit but just checking to see if the orientation of the shifter should be the same as the stock shifter where the bend in the lever is towards the passenger side. (Question is for a LHD/US car)

My car has the same shifter in it. It's basically a knock off from the B&M unit that is all over the internet and can be had from ~$40 to ~$200. Many of them are sold as RHD unit so you'll need to pull the bolt out and just flip it.
