Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

11 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

Ever open the door on a car and instantly fallen in love? My new daily. 2004 996.2 3.6L 6MT. 1 owner, stock, 70k mi, full service records, blank canvas.

Ill probably start with a wing and a set of bilstein B16 damptronics with controller while I ponder what type of 4.1L it wants to become.

🤣 Slakker just couldn’t stay away! Once a 996 gets under your skin…

Nothing else feels the same. It's no joke. I love doing first drives in customer's 997's. They are almost the best of both worlds being a little more comfortable without losing too much of the nimble quirkiness that the 996 inherited from the 993. The Boxsters and Caymans are a ton of fun. And a 997TT was my first Porsche, but a 996 C2 was my first love and I guess they always will be.

What do you mean by this? Are you possibly talking about forced induction?

No matter how much the 997 community loves to say their cars are perfect, 996's just feel more alive. Maybe literally because they're worse but they are more talkative and that's nice for a daily over outright pace.

Probably not on this car. We have an 03 cab tip thats slated to be our high boost drag project but weve also started doing 7psi 4.1L custom builds(530hp) that Ill add to our website soon. This one will either be a normal 4.1 or potentially our high rev development car ❤️ more talkative It was supposed to be a roller, but isnt. So it may be a month or two while I enjoy how great these cars are stock on the street.
