Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

If it's not the stock parts are pretty cheap & easy to throw back on. Jon @ Fabspeed is on here though so you might just send him a direct message? He's helped me in the past.
Thanks. I have the stock airbox. The smog guy let me slide but said next time I'd need the stock one as he couldn't find a number on it. I PM'd Jon.
If it doesn't have a CARB sticker on it then the answer is "no". I doubt Fabspeed wants to go through the certification process.
Its possible that it was CARB certified after it was put in your car. I would email Fabspeed and ask them. I did that with another CAI from another manufacturer and they were happy to mail me a sticker. Somewhere online there is a current list of all the CARB certified CAIs. Dont ask me where.
Thanks! I'll try that.

Hey guys, sorry was away at the Rolex 24hr...hell of a race by the way hope you watched it! CARB certification is a NIGHTMARE, it is not something we have on our products and likely never will i'm sorry to say. Lucky for us, the intake and exhaust on Porsches are typically a breeze to switch out every 2 years. Don't even have to worry about it for 5 years if the car is new.
In CA, the fines for cheating on smog range from $150-$1,000 for the car owner and $5,000 to $250,000 for a business owner, PLUS the treat of getting punted into the state's smog referee program. If I were a third-party equipment manufacturer, I would reconsider posting advice in an open forum re: how to circumvent CARB requirements and/or how to temporarily configure a non-conforming vehicle to pass inspection. Disclaimer: I f*****g hate CARB and the CA environazis who cook up and enforce this crap - but I would hate to see a fellow RLer or a provider of aftermarket parts (since the aftermarket for the 996 isn't as deep as it is for many other cars) get boned by the bastards.
Hopefully some de-regulation coming down the line...

Very good advice, i'll keep that in mind I appreciate you looking out
In California? Fat chance. The smog-exempt window was supposed to change, so cars over XX years old would be smog-exempt. That got scuttled, so the only emissions-exempt on-road vehicles are model year 1975 and older, with the 5-year new-car exemption John mentioned above. Even that exemption can be waived if CA decides your car is a commercial vehicle. My friend and I both bought identical diesel X5's; they classified mine as a passenger vehicle with the 5-year exemption and his as a commercial vehicle.
